Our Youth Aikido Program for ages 6-12 is geared toward providing a fun martial arts curriculum while instilling the positive, life-changing benefits of the Japanese martial arts traditions: respect for others, self-confidence, courtesy, obedience, humility, perseverance, honesty, integrity, self-control and more. This program emphasizes goal-setting, proper conflict resolution and positive reinforcement of success habits while teaching children how to stay safe and avoid violent confrontations.

Over time and with regular attendance, students will learn self-discipline, self-defense, increased mental clarity with a positive and respectful attitude. The strong philosophy behind Aikido enables young people to learn an effective martial art, without being encouraged to fight or develop aggression. Our classes are fast-paced, action-packed and fun. Aikido is non-competitive and there is no sparring or fighting in training. Instead, students work together to learn this unique martial art in a co-operative, supportive and safe environment.
